YG-1 TD723 is a TiN-coated HSS-E metric cold forming tap with oil grooves for ISO metric coarse threads. It forms threads in soft materials with at least 8–10% elongation for machine tapping applications. The selected range covers M2 × 0.4 to M11 × 1.5 metric coarse thread sizes. DIN 371 applies through M10, while the M11 variant uses the DIN 376 standard. A 60° thread angle and C 6HX thread tolerance support accurate metric thread production.
Cold forming requires larger pre-drilled holes than normal cutting-tap applications, so correct drill sizing is essential. TD723 is suited to selected steel, aluminium, copper and copper-alloy materials within the manufacturer recommendations. The TiN coating, HSS-E construction and oil-groove design make this a practical forming-tap option. Use the listed tapping drill diameter for each selected thread size.
