Product Description
YG-1 E2492 is a long-length, two-flute HSSCo8 ball nose end mill with a flat shank. Its M42 cobalt high-speed steel construction supports general milling across carbon and alloy steels. The ball nose cutting shape is suited to producing radiused profiles and contoured machined surfaces. It is rated Excellent for carbon steels and alloy steels, plus Great for prehardened steels. A 30° helix supports the two-flute geometry, while the bright surface remains uncoated. Ball radii span R1 to R15, covering the supplied 2 mm to 30 mm diameter range. DIN 1889 dimensions and a 0.02 mm ball-radius tolerance support controlled, repeatable machining results. The long-length format provides useful reach where standard-length ball nose end mills are restrictive.
