The YG-1 GYF95 series Only One PM60 Powder Metal Cutters have 3-5 flutes and a weldon shank. The fine pitch rippers range in diameter from 6mm-25mm and have a 45° corner radiusaration to protect the cutting edge in demanding roughing operations. They provide excellent performance on stainless steels, pre-hardened steels, carbon steels, alloy steels and cast iron. The Multiple helix design reduces vibration in heavier machining applications, increases tool life and improves metal removal rates. Ideal for applications where carbide is too brittle, but HSS wears too fast.
- ASP60 Powder Metal substrate gives similar cutting performance and wear resistance to general carbide cutters.
- YG-1's own high performance 'Y1200' coating allows for machining up to 1200°C.
- The most cost effective milling cutters from YG-1 in unstable machining conditions.
- Exceptional tool life and performance on CNC, NC and conventional milling machines in general machining.
- Wide range of geometries including corner radiuss, coarse & fine pitch roughers and multiple helix.
- Available on weldon shanks.
- Fine pitch ripper style is ideal for roughing applications and gives a good surface finish.
- Multiple helix makes these milling cutters excellent for slotting and also dramatically reduces vibration, especially in large depth of cut and semi roughing operations.
