YG-1 TD844 is a TiN-coated HSS-E metric fine spiral flute combo tap for multi-purpose blind-hole tapping. It produces ISO metric fine 6H, 60° threads to DIN 13. R40 spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently from blind holes up to 2.5×D deep. Special patented tap geometry supports correct thread profiles and extended tool life. With a C lead form and DIN 374 dimensions, it suits machine tapping. Available sizes run from M4 × 0.5 to M30 × 2. Three flutes are specified for every supplied thread size in this product family. The TiN coating identifies the TD844 series within YG-1's metric fine Combo Tap range.
