YG-1 TC124 UNF spiral flute machine taps are bright HSS-E tools designed for blind holes. Special flute geometry promotes chip evacuation when producing Unified Fine threads in suitable workpieces. These general-purpose taps use a 40-degree spiral flute and C chamfer lead. Bright-finish TC124 taps have a 60-degree thread angle and 2B thread class. The range covers #5–44 UNF through 7/8–14 UNF thread sizes. Smaller sizes through 3/8 follow DIN 371, while larger sizes follow DIN 374. Four-flute construction is specified for 3/4 and 7/8 sizes within this TC124 family. Select the required TC124 size for blind-hole threading with effective chip clearance.
