YG-1 TE704 UNC cold forming taps use oil grooves for machine thread forming. Designed for machine tapping, they form UNC internal threads in ductile workpiece materials. HSS-E construction suits soft materials that achieve at least 8–10% elongation. Pre-drilled holes need larger diameters than those normally used for cutting taps.
