YG-1 TD703 is a TiN-coated HSS-E metric cold forming tap with oil grooves. It forms ISO metric coarse internal threads in soft materials with at least 8–10% elongation. Oil grooves support lubricant delivery during machine thread-forming applications in suitable workpiece materials. TiN coating and C 6HX thread tolerance define this TD703 series. The 60° thread form is specified for ISO metric coarse threads under DIN 13. Sizes span M2 × 0.4 to M20 × 2.5, including selected intermediate sizes. DIN 371 shanks cover M2 to M10, while DIN 376 covers M11 to M20. Cold-forming requires larger pre-drilled holes than normal tapping operations for the specified thread.
