YG-1 TD713 is a TiN-coated HSS-E metric cold forming tap with oil grooves for ISO metric coarse threads. It forms threads in soft materials with at least 8–10% elongation using larger pre-drilled holes. The 60° profile and C 6GX thread tolerance support controlled thread-forming operations. This series covers M2 × 0.4 to M16 × 2.0 metric coarse-pitch thread sizes. DIN 371 shanks apply through M10, while larger listed sizes use DIN 376. Integrated oil grooves complement this cold forming tap design for metric threading applications. Use it where formed rather than cut threads are required in suitable ductile workpieces with ISO metric coarse threads.
