YG-1 TD733 is a TiN-coated HSS-E metric fine cold forming tap with oil grooves. It produces ISO metric fine threads in soft materials with at least 8–10 percent elongation. The series combines DIN 371 and DIN 376 tap forms with C 6HX thread tolerance. Cold forming requires larger pre-drilling holes than normal sized holes for equivalent thread sizes. Available selected sizes run from M5 × 0.5 through M20 × 1.5. Oil grooves are integral to this TD733 cold forming tap configuration. The specified tap geometry includes a 60º thread angle for metric fine threads. Select it for soft workpiece thread-forming operations requiring the documented elongation threshold.
