The YG-1 TC227 HSS-E (M35) metric gun point tap is a bright-finish general-purpose tap for fast through-hole threading. Its thick web is specified to enable higher cutting speeds than other taps. This series cuts ISO metric coarse threads to DIN 13 in general machining applications. Available thread sizes run from M3 × 0.5 through M30 × 3.5. The range provides matched tapping drill diameters for each listed thread size. Thread lengths span 11 to 40 mm, with overall lengths from 56 to 180 mm. The product family has three flutes from M3 to M16, and four flutes from M18 to M30.
