YG-1 TC244 is a bright HSS-E UNC machine tap with a thick web for through holes. Designed for steel applications, its gun-point geometry supports efficient thread cutting in through-hole work. The thick web supports higher cutting speeds for productive through-hole threading. This bright-finish machine tap produces Unified National Coarse threads with a 2B tolerance. The listed range covers #5-40 UNC through 1-8 UNC thread sizes. DIN 371 applies through 3/8 inch, while larger sizes use DIN 376. Each listed variant has three flutes and a stated tapping drill diameter. Choose the matched tap size and tapping drill diameter for the required thread.
