YG-1 TC422 HSS-E metric gun point machine taps feature a thick web for faster through-hole threading. They cut ISO metric coarse threads to DIN 13 in steel and other long-chip-forming materials. The spiral point geometry is designed specifically for through holes up to 3.0×D deep. The series has HSS-E tool material and a bright finish. Available thread sizes span M2 × 0.4 to M30 × 3.5 for metric coarse threading work. DIN 371 dimensions apply from M2 through M10, while DIN 376 applies from M11 through M30. The thick web enables higher cutting speeds than other taps for productive machine threading.
