YG-1 TY422 HSS-E M35 metric gun point taps are TiAlN-coated machine taps for through holes in steel. Designed for through-hole threading, the spiral point geometry supports machine tapping applications. TY422 belongs to the YG TAP STEEL range for steel and other long-chip-forming materials. Each tap uses HSS-E construction and TiAlN coating within the TY422 series. The form B gun point is intended for through-hole operations. Metric sizes extend from M2 × 0.4 to M30 × 3.5. The series supports maximum thread depths up to three times the nominal diameter. Included dimensions cover familiar coarse metric pitches from M2 through M30.
