YG-1 TC170 HSS-E (M35) UNF spiral flute machine taps feature a bright finish for blind-hole threading. They are designed for tapping blind holes in aluminium wrought alloys and alloyed cast aluminium. The R45 spiral flute geometry supports chip evacuation during blind-hole threading operations. HSS-E construction, bright surface treatment, C thread form and 2B class define the series. A 60° thread angle supports UNF Unified Fine thread requirements. The available range runs from #5-44 UNF to 3/4-16 UNF. DIN 371 applies to smaller sizes, while DIN 374 covers the larger listed sizes. The manufacturer rates designated aluminium wrought and cast alloy groups as excellent.
