YG-1 TC184 UNF spiral flute machine taps are bright-finish HSS-E taps for steel. R40 spiral flutes support blind-hole threading through special flute geometry and chip evacuation. Special flute geometry promotes effective chip evacuation when cutting UNF threads in blind holes. The range covers #4–48 UNF through 1–12 UNF thread sizes. Sizes from #4 to 3/8 use DIN 371, while larger listed sizes use DIN 374. The 2.5×D hole type supports the specified blind-hole tapping application. TC184 is recommended for non-alloy, low-alloy and high-alloy steels, plus selected tool steels. Choose the required thread size from thirteen listed UNF options for compatible threaded components.
