YG-1 T0993 carbide metric straight flute taps are bright-finish machine taps for ISO metric coarse threading in cast iron. The straight flute design and DIN 2197 C chamfer lead suit machine tapping in blind and through holes. Its carbide construction offers higher hardness than HSS taps, supporting longer tool life in suitable applications. The series is suitable for cast iron and high-silicon aluminium machining applications.
It handles hole depths up to 2.0×D and includes DIN 371 sizes through M10, with DIN 376 larger sizes. The M3 × 0.5 to M20 × 2.5 range covers common metric coarse-thread tapping requirements. A bright surface treatment completes the design for practical production tapping.
