The YG-1 TC463 HSS-E metric coarse machine tap is a bright straight-flute tap for general machining. This series cuts ISO metric coarse internal threads in shallow holes and blind holes with adequate chip space. The straight flute geometry supports tapping where chips can collect below the threaded section. Bright-finish HSS-E construction provides the specified tool material and surface treatment for the range. TC463 covers M3 to M18 coarse threads, with DIN 371 sizes through M10. DIN 376 dimensions apply from M12 through M18, with 6H tolerance and 60° thread angle. It is recommended for selected steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium and copper-alloy applications.
