YG-1 TB183 HSS-E metric fine spiral flute machine taps use VAP treatment for stainless steel. Designed for blind holes, the special flute geometry provides excellent chip evacuation while tapping. They produce ISO metric fine internal threads specified under DIN 13. This configuration is intended for internal threading where blind-hole chip control is required. Selected sizes cover M5 × 0.5 through M20 × 1.5 fine threads. Three flutes are specified throughout the selected TB183 range. The selected taps use tapping drill diameters from 4.5 mm to 18.5 mm.
