YG-1 TC122 HSS-E metric gun point machine taps are bright-finish short taps for through-hole threading. The thick web supports higher cutting speeds than other taps in general-purpose production. These DIN 352, 6H, Form B taps cut ISO metric coarse threads. The TC122 range covers M3 x 0.5 to M16 x 2 sizes. Recommended materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper alloys and non-metallic materials. Each tap has three flutes and supports thread depths up to 3.0 times diameter. Bright surface treatment provides the supplied finish specified for this TC122 series. The short machine tap format has compact overall lengths from 40 to 80 mm.
