YG-1 TC844 is a bright HSS-E metric fine spiral flute combo tap for multi-purpose tapping. It produces ISO metric fine internal threads in blind holes to a maximum depth of 2.5×D. The R40 spiral flute geometry supports blind-hole tapping, with a bright finish. TC844 uses a C chamfer, 6H tolerance and 60° thread angle. Special tap geometry is specified for correct thread profiles and extended tool life. Available metric fine sizes run from M4 × 0.5 to M30 × 2.0. The series conforms to DIN 374 dimensional requirements for metric fine thread applications. It is suited to multi-purpose machining requiring accurate metric fine internal threads.
