YG-1 TD864 is a TiN-coated HSS-E UNF spiral flute combo tap for blind holes. It produces Class 2B Unified Fine threads for multi-purpose machine tapping applications. TiN surface treatment complements the HSS-E tool material for general multi-purpose threading. Special tap geometry is designed for correct thread profiles and extended tool life. Available sizes extend from #5-44 UNF to 1-12 UNF, covering compact through larger fine-thread requirements. The series uses DIN 371 dimensions from #5 through 3/8, and DIN 374 from 7/16 through 1. Each tap has a 60° thread form and R40 spiral flute geometry. Blind-hole use is specified to a maximum depth of 2.5×D.
